Volunteering
A vibrant democracy needs active and committed citizens. This commitment has a long tradition in many areas. In Lower Saxony, 37% of the population aged 14 and over volunteer in social, cultural, political, societal or sporting activities.
Who should I contact?
The responsibility lies with the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Equality. In addition, there are local volunteer agencies in many municipalities, municipalities and cities.
