The location is used to determine the responsible office for the selected administrative service. In most cases you can enter your place of residence to find the competent authority. However, there are also cases in which a different location must be specified. Here are some examples:

Birth certificateYou want to get married and need a birth certificate. You live in Hanover, but you were born in Celle. You must therefore state your place of birth, i.e. Celle.

Business registrationYou would like to register a business in Braunschweig. Your place of residence is Hanover. You must therefore state the location of your future business, i.e. Braunschweig.

Apply for a building permitYou would like to build a house in Wunstorf and therefore apply for a building permit. Her place of residence is currently Hanover. You must indicate the place where the house is to be built. In this case it is Wunstorf.

Defective street lights can be reported by stating the location description or the lamp number noted on the street lamp.

Report a luminaire fault© westenergieHELIOS- The online portal for reporting defective or damaged streetlights.

And this is how it works:

Click on the "Select luminaire and report fault" button
Enter the address - by entering the complete address data, you will reach your destination even faster.
Select the faulty luminaire: Select the luminaire on the map. Then click on "Continue".
Report the damage / comment
Now enter the most important information about the damage. Has the lamppost and/or the luminaire head been damaged (e.g. due to collision damage?), or is the luminaire just not lit and there is no visible damage, etc.?
Close the report by clicking on the "Report fault now" button.
Westenergie will now check the fault report and rectify the reported damage as soon as possible.
If you would like to be informed about the current status and the repair of the damage, you can enter your e-mail address to activate a notification.
