Life certificate for submission to the pension insurance: Issue
The pension insurance company may require a life certificate as proof. This is an official document which is issued by the competent authority on application.

Which documents are required?
- Identity card or passport
- for written application: informal application and copy of identity card or passport
- Further documents on request if necessary
What are the fees?
The fee must be paid in person at the relevant office. In the case of written requests, the fee for proof for foreign pension insurance institutions and for private insurance policies must be transferred to the account of the office to which the request is addressed.

Process flow
The life certificate can be applied for in person at the competent office.
If the applicant is unable to visit the competent office for health reasons, for example, an informal application can be submitted with a copy of the required documents attached.

No deadlines need to be observed.
Processing duration
The life certificate is usually issued immediately if you apply in person. If the application is made in writing and delivered, the certificate may take a few days to be issued.
