All-day schools
As a rule, all-day schools set up two lessons for their pupils on four days (some on three days) per school week following a lunch break (with lunch), which are organised in open or partial form depending on the school's concept. In addition to support hours, work and practice hours, working groups or disposition hours, leisure activities and voluntary working groups in cooperation with extracurricular partners are also planned.
Participation in this additional support and leisure offer is usually voluntary. There are also all-day schools whose concept provides from the outset for binding offers on one or more afternoons for all pupils or for certain trains. Students in the school district of such a school who do not wish to offer an all-day offer can be enrolled in a half-day school.
