The location is used to determine the responsible office for the selected administrative service. In most cases you can enter your place of residence to find the competent authority. However, there are also cases in which a different location must be specified. Here are some examples:

Birth certificateYou want to get married and need a birth certificate. You live in Hanover, but you were born in Celle. You must therefore state your place of birth, i.e. Celle.

Business registrationYou would like to register a business in Braunschweig. Your place of residence is Hanover. You must therefore state the location of your future business, i.e. Braunschweig.

Apply for a building permitYou would like to build a house in Wunstorf and therefore apply for a building permit. Her place of residence is currently Hanover. You must indicate the place where the house is to be built. In this case it is Wunstorf.

Animal enclosure display

The construction, extension, significant modification and operation of animal enclosures require notification.

The following do not require notification

Animal enclosures that do not exceed a floor area of 50 m² and in which no animals of particularly protected species according to the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) are kept,
Release aviaries for animal species subject to hunting rights, if the aviaries are not set up for longer than one month,
enclosures for a maximum of two birds of prey if the birds are kept for the purpose of falconry and the keeper holds a valid falconry license,
net pens in which farmed or food fish are kept.

Responsibility lies with the district and the independent city.

With regard to applications, contact the responsible office in advance if possible and request the relevant forms if necessary.

Fees are charged in accordance with Annex 1 to Section 1 (1) of the General Fee Regulations of the State of Lower Saxony (AllGO) in accordance with No. 64.1.18.

Obtaining the notification does not include other permits; instead, a separate veterinary and building permit must be obtained.
