Displaying the burning of pyrotechnic articles as the holder of a permit or certificate of competence
You must notify us before you are allowed to set off pyrotechnic articles. You can make use of this service if the intended pyrotechnic articles are of category F2, F3, F4, P1, P2, T1 (permit and authorization certificate holders only) or T2. In the vicinity of buildings or installations that are particularly sensitive to fire, pyrotechnic articles may only be set off at a sufficient distance and taking into account the direction of the wind The setting off of pyrotechnic articles in the immediate vicinity of churches, hospitals, kindergartens and retirement homes as well as particularly fire-sensitive buildings or installations is prohibited. It should be noted that a notification can only be issued under certain conditions.

Requirements
You must have a certificate of competence in accordance with § 20 SprengG or a permit in accordance with § 7 SprengG in order to be allowed to report the burning of pyrotechnic articles.
Which documents are required?
Proof of a valid permit in accordance with § 7 of the Explosives Act or a valid certificate of competence in accordance with § 20 of the Explosives Act.
The following information must be provided in the notification or the following documents must be attached:
- Personal details of those responsible
- Location, type and scope as well as start and end of the fireworks display
- Distances to particularly fire-sensitive buildings and facilities
- the safety measures, in particular barriers and other precautions to protect the neighborhood and the general public.
What are the fees?
As a rule, no fees are charged. Under certain circumstances, however, fees may be charged in accordance with nds. AllGO No. 29.5 Fees in other cases of official action, examination or investigation not mentioned in Nos. 29.1 to 29.4 according to time spent, but at least EUR 30 and at most EUR 600.
Process flow
To make a complaint, you must state the facts of the case in writing. You do not need a form for this.
Please enclose all the necessary documents. This also includes a detailed description of the project and the location. The documents you submit will be checked for completeness and conclusiveness.
If necessary, additional documents will be requested.
Confirmation of notification will be sent by e-mail (by arrangement cc. to the airport's air traffic control and the police)
What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?
Notification period of 2 weeks before burning applies to pyrotechnic articles of category F2 in the period from 02.01. to 30.12.
Categories F3, F4, P1, P2, T1 (only permit and authorization certificate holders) and T2 all year round
Notification period of 4 weeks before setting off pyrotechnic articles in the immediate vicinity of railroad installations, airports or federal waterways that are shipping lanes.
