Hunting license: exhibition
If you want to hunt, you have to successfully pass a hunter's exam and get a hunting license.
The hunter's examination is taken by the competent authority. The comprehensive exam consists of the shooting, the written and the oral-practical exam.
Preparatory courses for the hunter's examination are offered by the district groups of the state hunters' association and by private hunting schools. Participation in a course in preparation for the exam is highly recommended.
In order to meet the needs of the interested group of people, both short-term intensive courses and courses lasting several months are offered to choose from.
Who should I contact?
The responsibility lies with the district, the independent city and the Hanover region.
The hunting license alone does not entitle you to hunt. In addition, a private-law permit is required to hunt in a hunting district. This can be obtained, for example, by leasing a hunting ground, by issuing a hunting permit or by issuing a hunting invitation from a hunting ground owner.
