Which place to enter?

The location is used to determine the responsible office for the selected administrative service. In most cases you can enter your place of residence to find the competent authority. However, there are also cases in which a different location must be specified. Here are some examples:

Conservation and development of habitats and species Funding


The "Conservation and Development of Habitats and Species" measure created an instrument to safeguard the European Natura 2000 system of protected areas. In particular, support will be given to voluntary projects for the conservation, development and restoration of habitats and species in rural landscapes.

Requirements

The funding measure is divided into two sub-areas. Funding will be provided for "Habitat and Species Plans" as well as "Habitat and Species Projects". The area of habitats and species plans supports the development and updating of plans for the protection and management of Natura 2000 sites and other sites of high natural value. These include, in particular, the following projects:

  • development and updating of management plans for Natura 2000 sites;
  • drawing up and updating maintenance and development plans for other areas of high value for nature conservation;
  • Elaboration and updating of other project-related plans and concepts,
  • Elaboration and updating of concepts for species protection and species relief measures.

The area "Projects for Habitats and Species" offers funding opportunities for projects for the conservation, development and restoration of habitats and species of rural landscapes as well as for the improvement of biodiversity. Funding includes projects for

  • concrete projects for raised and transitional bogs, fens and swamps, woody stands including hedgerows, hedgerows, orchards, flowing and standing waters as well as their floodplains, biotopes of the coasts and estuaries, rock and rock biotopes, open land biotopes,
  • Mountain meadows, nutrient-poor grasslands, heaths and species-rich grassland, near-natural and culturally and historically valuable forests,
  • habitats of endangered animal and plant species as well as concrete projects for the protection, promotion and reintroduction of animal and plant species,
    • Carrying out inventories of plans and projects,
    • efficiency checks,
    • the development and implementation of special monitoring concepts as well as project and protected area management, including the planning of measures,
    • purchase of new machinery and equipment,
    • acquisition of valuable land for nature conservation, and
    • the development and updating of plans for the protection and management of Natura 2000 sites and other sites of high natural value.

Eligible applicants

Depending on the specific project:

  • Local authorities and public bodies
  • Sponsors of nature parks, foundations, nature conservation associations
  • Landscape conservation facilities and facilities for the management of protected areas
  • Real associations and hunting cooperatives as well as
  • agricultural and forestry companies

Projects must contribute to the restoration, conservation and enhancement of biodiversity. In addition, the focus of funding must be on safeguarding Natura 2000 areas, nature reserves and large-scale protected areas.
