Which place to enter?

Requirements

The certificate of competence shall be issued by the competent body if the applicant:

 

  • has attended a course recognised by the competent authority for the acquisition of expertise and proves the competence in the context of a successful examination by a veterinarian

or

  • proves its knowledge and skills in the animal-friendly keeping of broilers by:
  • successfully completed training in the professions of animal keeper specialising in poultry farming or farmer,
  • successfully completed training in the profession of housekeeper with a focus on rural housekeeping by 30 June 1999,
  • a successfully completed university degree or university of applied sciences in the field of agriculture or veterinary medicine,
  • proof that he has kept a broiler flock of not less than 500 broilers for at least three years on his own responsibility and without objections to animal welfare law, or
  • a certificate attesting to the successful completion of an examination recognised as equivalent by the competent authority.

Persons who have acquired proof of competence in another Member State of the European Union, Turkey or a state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area do not require an examination, provided that the proof of competence meets the requirements.
