The restaurant authority has carried out a reliability check in accordance with Section 3 (1) sentence 1 NGastG.
What are the fees?
Fees are charged in accordance with tariff number 40.5.3 of the Annex to Section 1 (1) of the General Fees Ordinance of the State of Lower Saxony (AllGO). Please contact the responsible office for further information.

Process flow
- Contact the authority that checked your reliability as part of the notification procedure for a restaurant business and ask them to certify the findings.
- The findings will be certified to you in writing.

Approx. 14 days
What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?
Appeal
If the competent catering authority refuses to certify the findings from the background check, you can file a complaint with the competent local administrative court.

What else should I know?
- As a rule, personal reliability is checked by consulting the police certificate of good conduct in accordance with Section 30 (5) of the Federal Central Criminal Register Act and information from the Central Trade Register in accordance with Section 150 (1) of the Trade Regulation Act. The certificate is limited to the information contained therein.
- If there are no findings, this shall be certified.
- Otherwise, the relevant entries will be certified on request. This makes the legal nature of the certificate clear.
- It is not an administrative act, but an instrument of knowledge transfer and serves primarily as access to knowledge.
Competent authority
The municipality that has been notified of the commencement of the serving of alcohol in a restaurant is responsible.
Who should I contact?
This procedure can also be handled via a "Single Point of Contact". The "Single Point of Contact" is a special service offered by the municipalities and the state for service providers.
