Population register information issuance extended
If a legitimate interest in the provision of information is credibly demonstrated, the competent authority may provide extended information from the population register, which also contains the following data:
- First and last names
- Doctorate
- Addresses
- Day and place of birth
- Former first and last names
- Marital status (limited to whether or not married or in a civil partnership)
- Nationalities
- Previous addresses
- Day of moving in and out
- legal representatives
- Date and place of death
- First and last names and address of the spouse or partner
Who should I contact?
The responsibility lies with the municipality, the joint municipality and the city in which the person for whom extended population register information is to be obtained is resident.

- sufficient information to identify the person sought

- informal written request, unless the information is requested in person
What are the fees?
Fees are charged in accordance with Annex 1 to § 1 paragraph 1 of the General Fee Schedule of the State of Lower Saxony (AllGO) in accordance with No. 63.
Fee: at least EUR 20.00
The fee is calculated according to the time spent.
The full administrative fee is also due if there are no registration documents (or no longer) available from the requested person or if no person can be clearly assigned with the information provided by the inquirer or if the content of the information provided is already known.
What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?
Deadlines may have to be observed. Please contact the competent authority.
What else should I know?
The information will be refused if there is a blocking of information or a conditional blocking notice for the person sought.
