Which place to enter?

The location is used to determine the responsible office for the selected administrative service. In most cases you can enter your place of residence to find the competent authority. However, there are also cases in which a different location must be specified. Here are some examples:

Birth certificateYou want to get married and need a birth certificate. You live in Hanover, but you were born in Celle. You must therefore state your place of birth, i.e. Celle.

Business registrationYou would like to register a business in Braunschweig. Your place of residence is Hanover. You must therefore state the location of your future business, i.e. Braunschweig.

Apply for a building permitYou would like to build a house in Wunstorf and therefore apply for a building permit. Her place of residence is currently Hanover. You must indicate the place where the house is to be built. In this case it is Wunstorf.

Free transport in local public transport Use by severely disabled persons

Would you like to take advantage of free public transport? For this purpose, you need the supplement to the severely disabled pass with a valid stamp from the competent authority.

The supplement to the severely disabled person's pass is available on request from the responsible office.

Who should I contact?

Responsibility lies with the branch office of the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family responsible for the place of residence.

Which documents are required?

  • To apply for a free token:
    • Submission of proof of receipt of subsistence benefits under the
      • Social Code - Second Book (SGB II),
      • Sozialgesetzbuch - Achtes Buch (SGB VIII) or
      • Social Code - Twelfth Book (SGB XII)
      • or according to §§ 27a and 27d Bundesversorgungsgesetz (BVG)

What are the fees?

Fees apply for the supplement to the severely disabled pass with token.

What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?

Please note that the paid token can still be issued for the current month if the amount of money to be paid has been received by the competent authority in the first days of the month.
