Anyone who wishes to practise a craft subject to authorisation as a farmer without himself or herself fulfilling the requirements for registering a craft register must appoint a farm manager who fulfils these requirements.
The appointment of the manager must be notified to the competent authority so that it can verify that the registration requirements are actually met.
In cases of hardship, e.B in the event of continuation of the business after the death of the owner or the holder, the competent body may set a reasonable time limit for the appointment if proper management of the business is ensured.
The responsibility lies with the Chamber of Crafts (HWK), in whose chamber district the company has its headquarters.
This procedure can also be handled through a "point of single contact". The "Point of Single Contact" is a special service offered by the municipalities and the state for service providers.
- Farm Manager's Declaration
- Copy of the employment contract of the plant manager
- Proof of qualification of the plant manager (copy of master craftsman's certificate, technical certificate, exemption permit, etc.)
- if applicable, confirmation of registration from the collection office (health insurance) about the registration of the employee

The competent authorities may inform each other whether the manager fulfils the conditions for registration in the register of craftsmen and whether he/she is properly performing his or her duties.
