Competence test for mediating and advising insurance companies Certificate
After successfully passing an examination to prove the required competence of insurance intermediaries and insurance consultants before the competent authority, the latter then issues a certificate.
Process flow
The proficiency examination consists of a written and a practical part of the examination.
The written part of the examination covers in particular the following subject areas:
- Basics of insurance
- Social security framework conditions as well as basic features of state- and company-sponsored old-age provision
- Legal basis for insurance mediation and insurance consulting
For the practical part of the examination, the candidate can choose between the following two subject areas:
- Provision
- Property/Wealth Insurance
Who should I contact?
Responsibility lies with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
This procedure can also be handled through a "point of single contact". The "Point of Single Contact" is a special service offered by the municipalities and the state for service providers.
