Exceptions to the prescribed minimum period of inspection of the auctioned goods in the auctioneer trade Approval
The auctioneer must give the auctioneer the opportunity to inspect the auctioned goods for a period of at least 2 hours. The competent authority may grant exceptions if the tendering persons are otherwise given sufficient opportunity to assess the auctioned goods.
The alternative opportunity for the auctioned goods to be assessed by the bidders can be provided by providing a catalogue documenting the auction goods.
Who should I contact?
The responsibility lies with the district, the district-free city, the large independent city and the independent municipality in whose area of responsibility the event is located.
This procedure can also be handled through a "point of single contact". The "Point of Single Contact" is a special service offered by the municipalities and the state for service providers.
Requirements
- only for a single auction
- in case of special risk of theft
- the creation of sufficient security measures cannot be expected of the auctioneer
- e.B. at the auction of a large number of smaller items
Which documents are required?
- If applicable , identity card or passport
- Auctioneer's permit
- If applicable, notification of the auction
- if applicable, documents proving the "alternative inspection" (catalogues)
What are the fees?
The amount of the fees results - according to Annex 1 to § 1 paragraph 1 General Fee Schedule of the State of Lower Saxony No. 40.4.2 - depending on time required. However, a minimum of EUR 35.00 and a maximum of EUR 590.00 will be charged.
