Eligibility of grants from adult education institutions
Adult and further education institutions within the meaning of the Lower Saxony Adult Education Act are basically free in their education, the independent design of their offer and the selection of staff. Adult education centres, state institutions and adult education centres have the option of being recognised for receiving financial aid from the state. Grant eligibility does not imply general government permission or recognition.
Requirements
The requirements for grant eligibility are set out in § 3 NBEG.
Which documents are required?
The application for recognition of grant eligibility must contain information and evidence that reflects the existence of the requirements of § 3 NEBG.
Process flow
Before you submit an application for recognition of financial aid eligibility, you should check for yourself whether you meet the requirements of § 3 NEBG as an adult education centre, state institution or home adult education centre. If this is the case, we recommend that you seek advice from the Lower Saxony Agency for Adult and Continuing Education. Here you will also find all the information regarding the evidence and documents to be provided.
What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?
You must have fulfilled the requirements of § 3 NEBG at least three years before submitting your application.
