Auctioneer's trade permit in the itinerant trade

For the commercial auction of third-party movable property, third-party property or third-party rights in the travel trade, a permit from the competent authority is required.

Process flow

The permit may be subject to conditions insofar as this is necessary for the protection of the general public, the commissioning person or the bidder. Under the same conditions, the subsequent inclusion, amendment and addition of conditions is also permissible. In principle, the permit is granted for an indefinite period. It applies throughout the entire scope of the Industrial Code (GewO).

The GewO authorises the competent authority for the auction of perishable goods in the travel industry within the meaning of the GewO to allow exceptions, in particular from the permit requirement.
